Melissa says, "For new moms starting out breastfeeding, my advice would be to be patient, and know that it's a process especially in the very beginning. There is this moment that happens — about a week or two when things are a little raw and the baby latches on and it hurts so badly. I would sit there and think, 'I love this child so much, I love this child so much.' And eventually the pain would go away. Once you get through this, it's the easiest thing in the whole world. The key is to not give up."
