The Office star B.J. Novak wrote a hilarious book your kids will adore (VIDEO)

B.J. Novak wants your kids to make you look goofy, and you will love it

B.J. Novak, star of The Office and award-winning humorist, has written a fantastic new book for little ones that will make them trick the adults who love them into acting like total goofballs.

The Book with No Pictures is beautifully art directed and designed with big, colorful words done in a playful font. And that is the only art included in the book. The brilliance behind this is that by your child requesting you read them this book, they are in total control of making you say some utterly ridiculous things and sounding out some totally absurd words. And kids love nothing more than feeling like they are playing a trick on adults.

Novak has said about his new book: "I wanted to write a book that would introduce the youngest of kids to the idea that words can be their allies — that the right words can be as fun, exciting and ridiculous as any pictures." He also explained in an interview that when showing the book to young children, a 3-year-old grabbed it and started to interact with it as a kid would do with an iPad, attempting to swipe the cover and use it as one would an interactive device. B.J. said it was because "the book is shiny and feels like it is something for grown-ups." The fun part happens when the child hears the grown-up start reading the book and realizes that by doing so, the kid is the one in control, almost like using their adult as some silly-word-spewing robot.

Reading to kids is important, and this book not only lets you show your kids how much fun reading can be but will have them laughing and engaging with language in a totally new way. You can find the book for sale here or in any major bookstore.
