What you'll need:

  • white card stock
  • sandwich size Ziploc bag
  • brown craft foam
  • red, yellow and orange construction paper
  • scissors
  • glue
  • tape

What you'll do:

  1. Cut out a piece of card stock that is 1/2 inch larger on all sides than the Ziploc bag.
  2. Cut an opening in the card stock to make a frame that is 1 inch thick on all sides.
  3. Tape the Ziploc bag to the back of the card stock frame along the sides and bottom, leaving it open on the top.
  4. Cut a piece of brown craft foam to fit over the card stock frame. Leave the top and bottom straight, but cut the sides of the foam to mimic the shape of tree trunks.
  5. Glue the craft foam to the card stock frame.
  6. Cut out "cloud" shapes from the red and orange construction paper and glue them to the top of the tree trunks.
  7. Cut out 20 to 25 small leaf shapes from the construction paper.
  8. Glue a few of the leaves to each of the trees, then put the remainder of the leaves in the Ziploc bag and zip it shut. Shake to watch the leaves fall.
