Back-to-school teacher gift - DIY chalkboard pot

What you'll need:

  • terra-cotta pot
  • paintbrushes
  • yellow paint
  • chalkboard paint
  • chalk
  • black permanent marker
  • indoor plant

What you'll do:

  1. Paint the rim of the pot with the yellow paint.
  2. Once the yellow paint has dried, paint the rest of the pot with 2 to 3 coats of the chalkboard paint.
  3. While the chalkboard paint dries, use the permanent marker to draw ruler marks and numbers along the rim of the pot.
  4. Let the chalkboard paint dry overnight. Once it is completely dry, write the name of your child's teacher on the pot with chalk for the perfect back-to-school gift!
