Bug hunt crafts for kids: Paper tube binoculars

Send the kids to the backyard for a fun summer bug hunt, and help them spot those creepy crawlies with a pair of homemade binoculars!

Get ready for a backyard bug hunt!

What you'll need:

  • two toilet paper tubes
  • paint
  • paint brush
  • craft glue
  • string
  • scissors
  • bug stickers

What you'll do:

  1. Paint the inside and the outside of the two paper tubes.
  2. Once the paint is dry, glue the two paper tubes together side by side.
  3. Cut a piece of string that is 18 inches long, glue one end of the string to the outer edge of each paper tube.
  4. Decorate the binoculars with the stickers.
