Responsibilities:

• Develop new functionality (social, content, community & tools)
• Upgrade existing systems to best practices
• Assists with integration and bug-fixing systems
• Responsible for troubleshooting application related issues and insuring/maintaining highest possible application uptime and modern-browser compatibility
• Works as part of a rockstar team, helping others increase skill set

Required skills:

• 5+ Years PHP 5.x
• 5+ Years (x)HTML/CSS experience
• 3+ Years MVC framework (CakePHP and/or Symfony 2 preferred)
• 3+ Years JavaScript (jQuery/YUI preferred)
• 3+ Years MySQL 5.x
• 3+ Years *NIX CLI experience
• 2+ Years High-availabilty/high-scale/multi-tiered environment experience
• Expert level versioning control (SVN/Git)
• Exemplary written and spoken english
• Able to take minimal direction and self-organize
• Willing to give input, ideas and pushback to overall direction

Desired skills:

• Experience with TDD
• Experience with Continuous Integration
• Working experience building and maintaining dynamic systems backed by a CMS
• Experience utilizing standards-compliant, semantic (HTML5) markup and CSS
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other Agile product development.
• Agile/Scrum environment experience
• Pair programming experience
• Contributions to Open Source projects
