Tell Us — Do You?

We want to know what women really think about the tradition of marriage in the modern world. So, let's talk.

The SheKnows I Do Issue Survey

This survey is now closed.

These days, everyone has their own definition of happily ever after. Take a moment to think about yours — are you living it? Are you still dreaming about it or wishing you would have done it differently? Is it really all that it's cracked up to be? While some women are still fantasizing about their Prince Charming, others have moved on to fulfilling their dreams of traveling the world single and fabulous.

So, how important is the ring, and which traditions are as outdated as being barefoot and pregnant? Get ready to speak your mind.

Hey Charlotte, after you take the survey, there should be a "thank you" page. The link to the giveaway is in there. If you are not able to click on it, you can highlight it, copy and paste it into another tab in your browser. This was a fun survey -- not sure why people are saying it's biased. You can't apply every question to everyone. Like, what if my relationship status was that I am a sister wife in some polygamist cult with 11 kids and a pet goat? The nerve of you for not tailoring your questions to me, SheKnows! Haha. Lighten up, people!

I agree with Shaye...the questions are always just a bit different than I would write them. Sometimes none of the answers are really my answers. Also the 'click here' at the end of the survey doesn't work to be entered into the sweeps - which is why I took the survey anyway. :)

Agree with the agree: these were awfully biased questions. Also, they were inconsistent. It's very hard to be accurate in my answers when none of them apply. Simply put, I was engaged, but he broke it off, and I am now in a new relationship. When asked questions about my engagement experience, I tried to answer accurately, but I couldn't answer questions about a *wedding* experience, since I was never married. None of it flows, and it's very disjointed.

I found many of these questions to be quite loaded and skewed. It was less of a survey of how women actually think of marriage or if they would or would not, and more of a characterization of complex feelings and emotions boiled down to whether one wants to participate in stereotypical gender roles. Ah, well I suppose I shouldn't be asking for a more detailed, in-depth study from a website called sheknows...
