We’re here to help guide you to gift-giving success with our last-minute (yet totally awesome) ideas for things he’s sure to love.
Gift cards might seem impersonal but they’re definitely the quickest gift solution. Go to a couple of his favorite stores (ideally in the morning to avoid hordes of other last-minute shoppers) and get him some gift cards so he can shop for what he wants most. Starbucks or iTunes cards can be equally useful.
Pre-pack a movie night date by picking up some movie gift certificates, some popcorn, candies and anything else that screams “movie night” and packing it all up into an oversize popcorn box or bucket. You can also swap the movie tickets for a bunch of DVDs of his favorite flicks and have your movie date at home.
Is he a wine snob? Splash out on a couple of really nice bottles for your guy. Do some research on a site like Decanter to find out what’s been topping the best-of lists lately, or ask equally wine-obsessed friends or family for recommendations and surprise him with something he’ll be thrilled to uncork.
Whether you bake them or buy them, most men will appreciate a basket of yummy sweet or savory treats. No time to slave over a hot oven? Visit a gourmet grocery store or specialty food shop and pick out some unique items you know he’ll enjoy. Sauces, dips, spice rubs, candies and other fun stuff he doesn’t normally buy for himself (all packed up in a cute tin or box) makes for an ideal last-minute gift for your foodie guy.
What magazines does he pick up regularly? Choose one or two and order him a subscription. The first one won’t arrive before Christmas, but you can buy the latest copies of the ones you’ve ordered a subscription for and wrap those up for a quick but totally thoughtful (and useful) last-minute holiday gift.
