Reconnect on Valentine's Day

With work, kids and all your other obligations, you probably don't spend enough quality time with your husband. Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your spouse again by going out on a real date.

Find the time.

You probably think you don't have the time to go out on a date -- and you're probably wrong. Find the time. Couple time is a necessity in every marriage, and you probably getting enough of it. Put the date on your appointment calendar. If you can find time for a PTA meeting, grocery shopping or business lunch, you can find time to spend with your hubby.

2Get dolled up.

If you look good, you feel good. If you are in a beauty rut, get a new haircut or experiment with a new color. Put on a full-face of makeup (try a smoky eye look) and wear something a little daring and racy.

3Don't worry about the kids.

A few hours with a babysitter might actually do them some good, giving them a fresh change of pace -- and you, a well-deserved break. Don't feel guilty for having a good time; even the Mom of the Year gets tired of changing diapers, doing laundry and picking up toys.

4Make it simple.

If money is an issue, you don't have to go to an expensive restaurant. You can make your date simple and fun. If the weather is suitable, plan a picnic at the park or see an outdoor concert. Check out what's going on in your city: Maybe there's a festival, art opening or other event that you'd like to attend. If you want to go to the movies, a matinee is cheaper than an evening show. And if you really want to go to a posh restaurant, just go for dessert and coffee!
