Girl's Night Out

Going out with the girls doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact, there are lots of great ways to spend quality time with your BFFs that will barely make a dent in your wallet. All you need is a little creativity and some fabulous friends.

Friends having fun together.

Games night

Everyone has a stash of old board games tucked away in closets and cupboards. Choose a bunch of games you haven't played in years, open a bottle of wine or better yet, cocktails based on favorite childhood beverages, i.e. Shirley temples! Ask everyone to contribute some snacks for a night of kid-inspired fun.

Wine and cheese

Though it may sound expensive, hosting a wine and cheese night doesn't mean one person has to shoulder the cost. Have each person bring one cheese and one bottle of wine, and once everyone arrives, set up tasting stations featuring one wine and one cheese. Add comment cards to each station for guests to give their thoughts on each pairing. After that, just enjoy the vino!

DIY spa party

You don't need so spend tons of money on pricey skin peels, masks and cleansers for a fun night of at-home spa treatments. All you need to do is go to the grocery store or use what you already have at home to make your own fresh and fabulous skincare treatments. Get some gal pals together and spend the night getting each other gorgeous.

Kitchen party

Choose a theme and have each friend pick a dish within that theme (Mexican, Spanish, Vegetarian, etc.) to make at your place. Small dishes or one-bite items work best so no one gets too full too fast, and then each person gets a turn in the kitchen to make their dish. You can also work in teams to create an appetizer, main course and dessert. Either way, food plus friends plus kitchen frenzy usually equals a low-cost good time.

We have "Girls Game Night" all the time and it's a blast. Our faves are What's A Dame To Do?!, Trivial Pursuit Silver Screen and Outburst. If there's been a few too many Shirley Temples served, then it's Candyland!

Nice ideas. Good inspiration. My next girls night I am inviting everyone over for sushi and games: Balderdash and What's a Dame to do? Can't wait.
