Have Fun

Fun solo activites:1. Volunteer. Think about what you like to do and what you're good at and find an organization that needs volunteers. Love cats and dogs? Check out your local animal shelter. Good with a hammer and nails? Think about helping out with Habitat for Humanity. You'll meet new people and feel great knowing your time is going towards a good cause. 2. Learn something new. What have you always wanted to do? Learn Spainsh? Finally figure out how to make the most of your digital camera? Turn a lump of clay into a vase? Now is your chance to sign up for a class and learn what you've always been curious about. 3. Meet new people. Despite what you might think, boys are not the only reason to get up in the morning. Join a gym, check out a sports team or find out if there are any clubs or groups in your area you want to join (people get together for everything from hiking to bird watching to architecture appreciation so you're bound to find something you like) so check it out and see who you meet! |
More time for youWhen you're in a relationship, there often aren't many opportunities for alone time. Just you, a glass of Merlot and a great book, or time for a solo bubble bath surrounded by scented candles. Having a guy around limits your chances for solitary activities. But if you're single, you can take advantage of getting back the time that should just be for you - and no one else.
More time with your friendsOften, when we get attached to a guy and things start to get serious, we trade our social life for our, ahem, sex life. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially at the start of a new relationship, but if you're always putting your guy first, your friendships can suffer. Being single means lots more time with your BFFs!
