Baby , It's Cold Outside
The weather may be frightful outside, but that doesn't mean it has to dampen your spirits. Below are ten hot date ideas to look forward to this winter.
1. Go Ice Skating
As demonstrated by Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack in Serendipity, ice-skating is the perennial winter date activity and provides you with plenty of chances for PDA as you glide across the ice together and catch each from falling.
2. Have a Fireside Dinner
Choose a romantic restaurant with a fireplace for dinner or just snuggle up with a mug of hot chocolate in front of one.
3. Marvel at Christmas Light Displays
Bundle up and take a nighttime walk or drive to check out your neighbors' holiday decorations. Bring along an Ipod mix of Christmas music for bonus fun.
4. Winter Sports
If you live up north, take advantage of the snow season and go sledding, skiing, or just make a snowman. Snowball fight!
5. See a Show
Take in some culture and attend a local performance of A Christmas Carol or The Nutcracker. Want more great date ideas like this one? Click here for date ideas for any occasion!
6. Holiday Shopping
Help each other pick out gifts for family and friends or just enjoy the window displays. Department stores, especially, tend to go all out during this time of year.
Especially with the economy in a slump, giving is even more important than receiving this year. So have fun and do something good by volunteering as a couple at a soup kitchen or coat drive.
8. Movie Night At Home
Stay in, pop some popcorn, and watch a classic holiday film. Some of our favorites: White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, or Miracle on 34th Street.
9. Go to a Sauna
Recover from all of the holiday-stress by warming up with a hot stone massage and spending ample time with your honey in the steam room.
Lastly, burn off all of those extra holiday pounds and get a jump-start on your New Year's resolutions by working out at a gym together.
