New 'do

Katie Holmes -- aka Mrs. Tom Cruise -- debuted a new look at the LACMA's Opening Celebration of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum on February 9.

Her hair was slicked back and her makeup muted, giving her a very polished -- if slightly wax-figure-like -- appearance.

Interestingly, Katie Holmes is not using her height at all to her advantage: Her shoulders are hunched, while her lower back is curved, pushing her her abdomen out.

Also in attendance at Saturday's Gala: Nicole Richie, Petra Nemcova, Anjelica Huston, Dennis Hopper, Dustin Hoffman and Maria Shriver.
