Zoe Jackson, 35, dated Gerard Brogan, 46, for three months after they got together through the popular dating website, reported But rather than parting ways amicably it appears Jackson wasn't happy when Brogan ended the relationship.

He told The Sun that Jackson's revenge was to pile dead mackerel into his hot tub. Brogan, who owns a web design firm, found the unwanted gift on his £1.1 million North Yorkshire estate and reported it to the police.

Unfortunately for Jackson, who claims Brogan cheated on her with two other women, she was captured on CCTV "creeping around with a plastic bag" and admitted charges of criminal damage at Northallerton Magistrates court. She was given a conditional discharge and ordered to pay £520 in compensation.

"Zoe was okay (sic) at first, but after three months together it was getting a bit intense, especially when she told me she had six children," said Brogan.

He said when he told Jackson he wasn’t ready to commit she found it difficult to accept.

Quite how difficult he didn’t realise until he and his friends were about to jump into his hot tub and were faced with a pile of rotting fish guts under the lid.

"I was hit by the most horrific stink," said Brogan. "All I could see was a lot of floating fish heads and eyes which must have been bubbling away at 40C (sic) for two days. I was almost sick."

The hot tub was ruined and we doubt there's any chance of reconciliation for this particular couple. Plenty of Fish, indeed.
