Stanley Park, Vancouver

What better place is there for romance than a 400-hectare, natural rainforest? Gorgeous Stanley Park has many spots where you can roll out your blanket and get your snack and romance on. What makes it extra romantic is the scenery. Wherever you set up your picnic, you will be surrounded by views of water, mountains and majestic trees that have stood for hundreds of years. And Stanley Park offers other recreational activities, so you can continue your romantic date after your picnic and hike one of its amazing trails, spotting and taking pictures of wildlife. Or take a ride with your love on the park's miniature train.

Fort Carlton Provincial Park, Carlton

Fort Carlton Provincial Park was originally a Hudson's Bay Company fur-trading post from 1810 until 1885. Now it's a spectacular place to visit, with its fur and provisions store, trade store, clerk's quarters and tepee encampment that look just like they would have in the late 1800s. Just outside the park you will find the original Carlton trails, and you can set up your romantic picnic at the maple grove.
