The Windy City has made another name for itself, the Green City. Considered one of the first cities in the US to bring sustainability to its public buildings, Chicago is home of the Chicago Center for Green Technology. The Center is committed to teaching the public and businesses the importance of sustainable living. Add to that a robust public transportation system, an active eco-tourism movement that reaches beyond hotels to include dining and shopping experiences, and plenty of green urban space, including 20,000 plants on Chicago City Hall’s rooftop garden.
