What do you get a perfect hostess?

I love hosting Thanksgiving — there's something magical about having my home filled with friends and family who have joined together to reflect on what matters most (and enjoy some great food).

But it's a big responsibility to take on. Having worn the proverbial chef's hat firsthand, when I go to other peoples' houses for holiday meals, I always make sure to bring along a token of my appreciation.

Great hostess gifts don't have to require a lot of work. This isn't the time for anything extravagant, and with the holidays in progress, you also don't want to find yourself in the middle of an elaborate DIY project. Just look for something simple that can be enjoyed after the guests are gone, when the cook can enjoy a little time just to herself.

Whether you send something after the fact or bring a gift that can be enjoyed the next morning, these easy, elegant gifts will put a smile on any hostess's face.

Sponsored by Godiva Masterpieces.

Funny kitchen towels

These kitchen towels are hilarious, but keep things simple enough to still be elegant. Doesn't get much more perfect than that. (RootsandWingsShop/Etsy, $25)
