Where To See And Be Seen In Los Angeles
If you love celebrities, here’s your chance to vacation like a star and maybe even spot one on your next trip to Los Angeles. Let’s cheer hooray for Hollywood with this roundup of hot spots where celebrities love to eat, drink, shop and be merry.
Where to shop
Access Hollywood broadcasts from the popular outdoor mall, The Grove (189 The Grove Drive), Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. PST. Besides hottie hosts Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos, you never know who you might see shopping at the Apple store, Michael Kors or Topshop or grabbing a bite at The Cheesecake Factory.
To have your Pretty Woman moment, make a beeline for Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Boutiques like House of Bijan, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Tiffany & Co. are prime places to window shop and spot one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Where to eat
For a celebrity dining experience, Wolfgang Puck’s Spago (176 N. Canon Drive) is a must. The jovial chef’s flagship restaurant in Beverly Hills has a dedicated, star-studded following and after a recent renovation to the space and menu, it's hotter than ever. Other great dinner options where you are sure to see a celeb or at least feel like one include the swanky French bistro Bouchon (235 N. Canon Drive) and the upscale Italian eatery, Scarpetta (225 N. Canon Drive).
Since it's home to the annual Golden Globe Awards and the Clive Davis Grammy party, it’s safe to say that every A-list actor in Hollywood has raised a glass at The Beverly Hilton (9876 Wilshire Blvd.). But you don’t have to be on the guest list or even a guest to dine at one of the iconic hotel’s restaurants: Circa 55, which serves lunch and dinner with menus that change seasonally; Trader Vic’s, famous for its Polynesian flavors and home of the original Mai Tai; and the Lobby Café, which overlooks the hotel’s celebrated entrance and serves light bites and beverages.
Where to get pampered
Denmark-born skincare guru Ole Henriksen (8622A W. Sunset Blvd.) has an impressive roster of famous clients including Barbra Streisand, Ellen DeGeneres, Cher and Charlize Theron. Let him work his magic on you with renewing complexion treatments and indulgent head-to-toe body treatments.
Kim Kardashian is a regular, and young Hollywood stars Ashley Greene and Juilanne Hough have also been spotted getting their nails done at Beverly Hills Nail Design (423 N. Bedford Drive).
Where to work out
Take a morning hike or jog through the scenic Coldwater Canyon Park (1100 N. Beverly Drive) in Beverly Hills. One of LA's best-kept secrets — not only will you find beautiful views, you might even spot a few beautiful people. Whether it’s Gwen Stefani pushing one of her sons on the swings or Jessica Alba blowing bubbles with her two daughters, the park has made a name for itself as a regular hot spot for celebrity sightings and play dates.
The TMZ Hollywood Tour seems like a hoot and a surefire way to spot a celebrity and get the inside scoop on where the stars live and like to play. Tickets are $55 for adults and $45 for children.
