Keep your ear to the ground because there’s a power play brewing at work. It may feel like it’s all quiet on the western front this Tuesday, but that’s just the calm before the storm, which will revolve around a surprise resignation or removal. Corporations, like nature, abhor a vacuum, and planetary activity on Wednesday and over the weekend shows that there will be a mad scramble to fill the position. If you’re one of the contenders, then you’ll want to move forcefully and quickly. If not? Then hide out in a foxhole for the next 12 days.
ARIES (March 20 – April 18)
Beware of power struggles at work on the 30th. If anything, you will want to concede to a supervisor and not rock the boat. For some reason, you have become a target for this person right now. Perhaps you expressed yourself too strongly on a matter or your star is on the rise and he feels like he has to put you in your place. In any case, it's not worth the scuffle. The atmosphere improves significantly later in the week.
TAURUS (April 19 – May 19)
You will never take something that isn't yours, but if you see an opportunity that's sitting out there in plain view, then you will certainly seize it. This could create some trouble on Monday and Tuesday when you go after an assignment, project, or client that a colleague thought of as being his. It can be argued that this person wasn't doing anything with it — and you're right, he wasn't — but people can get prickly about their prerogatives. What can you say? Those who snooze, lose.
GEMINI (May 20 – June 19)
You will be presented with an opportunity on Friday that's too good to pass up. It could also create an awkward situation. It looks like you are being interviewed for a position that is currently occupied by somebody else. What makes it dicey is that this person doesn't even know yet that he has been let go. It's weird — but normal for business — so take things one step at a time. You aren't taking anything away from anyone if it wasn't theirs in the first place.
CANCER (June 20 – July 21)
Things go from bad to worse with a career maneuver on the 30th. You were led to believe that a higher-up had your back, only to discover that he has distanced himself or perhaps left the scene all together. So what do you do now that you find yourself out on a limb? Improvise, of course. Any situation is salvageable as long as you keep your cool and your wits about you. Earth trines on May 1 and May 5 show help arriving from an unexpected quarter.
LEO (July 22 – Aug. 21)
You can't win as far as a supervisor or client is concerned. You're damned if you do a good job and damned if you don't. So should you start updating your résumé? It's likely that this has nothing to do with your job performance and everything to do with your superior's management style. Since you can't really tell this person that he's being a bully, your next step is to teach by example. Be upbeat and professional, and he will catch on and start to do the same.
VIRGO (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21)
You will be able to do a much better job of fine-tuning your pitch or proposal once Mercury enters Taurus on May 1. It's been hard to figure out what a buyer or client wants exactly, and being told "Show me," doesn't make for the best direction. At least not for a Virgo. The good thing about Mercury in Taurus is that people will be much more down-to-earth and targeted in their wants and needs. They will also supply you with a budget, which is always helpful.
LIBRA (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21)
You may get the sinking feeling that you backed a loser. Mars in your solar house of debts and investments is burning a hole in your wallet and/or portfolio. What to do? Well, if things don't turn around by May 7, then it will be time to cut your losses and to bail, because next week's solar eclipse on the 9th could do some serious damage. You are pretty vulnerable right now. And if it's a boomerang kid that we're talking about? You need to cut the cord.
SCORPIO (Oct. 22 – Nov. 20)
It's hard to be the dissenting voice in the group — especially when you will be under so much pressure to comply on Monday and Tuesday. But there's a reason why you were born under a fixed sign: It's to stand firm when others start grasping at the easy solutions. It's also your job to ask the tough questions. Thankfully, your judgment call will be proven right by late-breaking news on Thursday. Unfortunately, you now have the unenviable task of pulling colleagues' fat out of the fire.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21 – Dec. 20)
Nothing sits right with you at work, and that antsiness won't lift until after Mercury completes its opposition to Saturn next Monday. So, do you blow off the entire week? Uh, no. What you do is knuckle down and power through. This is one of those times when you need to be disciplined because motivation and interest will be sorely lacking. On a different note, it looks like you will be taking a step closer to getting your financial house in order, thanks to developments on May 1.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 – Jan. 18)
You're burning the candle at both ends, which is great to a point, but are you getting anywhere? That's the question that will be uppermost in mind on Tuesday, when it feels like your best just isn't good enough. Actually, it is. But you don't seem to hear people when they say so, and if you don't believe them, you will eventually drive yourself into the ground. Cosmic mantra for the week? Lighten up! You don't have to work so hard at working hard.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 19 – Feb. 17)
You'll have to switch from carrot to stick when it comes to dealing with a mulish boss or client on Tuesday. You hate to get tough like this. You'd rather win people over to your cause than get high-handed. Unfortunately, you are dealing with someone who is stuck in his ways and his ways are costing the company money. Some people just need a solid whack on the backside to get them up and moving, and that's exactly what the Stars recommend (metaphorically speaking, of course) on May 2.
PISCES (Feb. 18 – March 19)
Oftentimes, the solutions that we are looking for lie in plain sight, but the reason they remain hidden to us is that we never thought of them in that way before. This will become evident to you on the 1st, when you recognize the untapped potential in something that everyone else takes for granted or see how consolidating two sources of revenue can result in a stronger wellspring. Not only will you come up with the means of saving the day, you could breathe new life into a faded venture going forward.
