Separate the personal from the professional
We all make friends with our bosses, clients and colleagues. It's unavoidable, considering how much time we spend with them. But there are times when it becomes clear they may not be cut out for the positions they are in, and things must change. The full moon on Wednesday will bring this to a head, and it will surely put you in an awkward situation. You will have to find a way to be there as a friend, but to also do what's right for the company.
ARIES (March 20-April 18)
Why are you putting up with a lesser light at work? That’s the question you’ll be asking yourself on Tuesday, when Mars forms a square to Pluto. You don’t have to go toe-to-toe with a supervisor — not when everyone (including higher-ups) knows that you’re the one who generates the clients and the bucks. All you have to do is give the signal and he’s out. Think about it, because you’re the one in the driver’s seat.
TAURUS (April 19-May 19)
Co-workers aren’t going to put up with any shenanigans this week, so you might want to watch it with the on-line shopping, tardiness at meetings or "scenes" at the office, because any one of these can — and will — be used against you. Tuesday and Thursday are the days when you will want to keep an especially low profile. People are looking for a scapegoat, and you don’t want to give them any ideas.
GEMINI (May 20-June 19)
You may have taken on more than you can handle at work, but that’s okay because you will find a way to manage it. There should be a lot of good fortune pouring through your life right now, along with new opportunities to make a name for yourself. You can also elevate your status if you want to, by showing that you’re serious about taking the next step up. The ball is in your court.
CANCER (June 20-July 21)
Sometimes it’s good to know people in high places, and sometimes it’s not, as you will see on the 28th. It could be that a supervisor who did you a favor now wants you to repay it — tenfold! Or a boss who covered for you asks you to do the same — except this cover looks more like a cover-up. In any case, you will have to look for ways to negotiate these landmines without setting off any explosive situations.
LEO (July 22-Aug. 21)
Brace yourself for startling developments on Thursday and Friday, when a surprise shake up at work changes the cast of players significantly. Expect the customary panic and cries of "what do we do now," but keep in mind that there’s opportunity in the fiasco. This may be your chance to advance your interests in ways you couldn’t before. Look for it, because you could make significant headway next week.
VIRGO (Aug. 22-Sept. 21)
A co-worker is in over their head and will ask for help — again. This is getting to be a habit, and it’s not a good one. Consider taking a pass this time and letting nature take its course. Your job isn’t to prop up people in jobs that they can’t perform. If it were, then you should be collecting their paycheck. Let developments unfold on their own because this is the stars’ way of removing the deadwood.
LIBRA (Sept. 22-Oct. 21)
You will have to be in two places at once on Wednesday. That’s a physical impossibility, which means that you will have to let someone down. Make sure that it’s the person who’s been siphoning away your creative energies and not the one who’s been championing you at work. If there was ever a time to stand by the people who stand by you, then it would be now.
SCORPIO (Oct. 22-Nov. 20)
You are the object of admiration at work. You could also be the target of envy, so you’ll want to watch your back on the 26th. Thankfully you can smell a trap when you see one. It’s clear that a disgruntled colleague or supervisor is setting you up, but you’re far too clever to step over that trip-wire. It’s important to not retaliate. In these situations, it’s often the people who mean you harm who wind up harming themselves.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 21-Dec. 20)
There are times when you have to make professional decisions that fly in the face of personal feelings and allegiances. It won’t be easy having that "talk" you’ve been postponing for weeks, but Friday looks like the day to have it. You don’t want your boss to find out that you’re moving on or your employee to discover that you’re letting him go from anyone else. This information needs to come from you.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 21-Jan. 18)
It’s been a long time since your career has been this exciting, so hold on — there’s more to come! Tuesday brings some larger-than-life developments when an opportunity you always considered to be too far-fetched lands in your lap, and Thursday should bump up the volume on orders and revenue. Feeling a little harried? Probably. But just keep telling yourself that you can do this, and you will discover that you can.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 19-Feb. 17)
Venus will be cazimi on Thursday, and that will be a bit of a mixed blessing for you. Venus turns up your powers of attraction and magnetism when she passes through the heart of the sun (which is what cazimi means). However, she also makes you the prize that people will compete vigorously for. It sounds flattering, until things get out of hand. You may have to go get the garden hose and spray down the fighting dogs on the 29th.
PISCES (Feb. 18-March 19)
You’re not going to be able to plot a course with your career until you first resolve things at home. Apparently everyone in your life decided to wait until this week to have their personal crises. And planetary timing being what is, this week also happens to be when a boss or client needs you on call around the clock. Never one to leave anyone in the lurch, it looks like you will do your utmost to be there for everyone in your life. Thank heavens for texting, tweeting and voicemails.
