These cute little napkin rings look great on red, blue or white napkins and are perfect for any kind of 4th of July party, from a barbecue to a fancier dinner party!
Using your star shape, trace the star shape onto the colored foam with a pencil.
Repeat the tracing with both of your colors.
Using your scissors, cut out the shapes and set aside.
Cut your ribbon into strips so they surround the circumference of the napkin when it's rolled.
You want the ribbon to overlap and the end to stop right at the center. Using your hot glue gun, glue the ribbon. Just be careful not to glue the ribbon to the napkin!
Place a small dab of hot glue onto the back of the center of one of the colored stars. Glue it to the center of the ribbon, holding it down so it sets.
Once the first star has set, place a small dab of glue onto the back of the other colored star. Press that star onto the first star making sure the ends don't line up (so it creates a fun, firework design in the middle).
Hold the stars down to set.
Place a small dab of hot glue onto the back of the button. Carefully glue the colored button of your choice (I chose a light button for the darker stars and a dark button for the lighter stars) to the center of the top star.
Hold down carefully so it sets. Then let the napkin rings dry and use on your favorite napkins!
Cute, easy and adorably festive!
