Food and drink

South American and Spanish flavors give Province restaurant's American cuisine an interesting twist. Executive Chef Randy Zweiban uses ingredients from natural and sustainable resources to create a seasonal, farm-to-table menu. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Province's noshes feature items like Spanish paella with spring vegetables, and crabcakes accompanied by roasted peppers and tangy chipotle sauce. Dessert tempts with a peanut butter and chocolate flan sandwich, honeycrisp apple-almond wafer, and cinnamon churros with coffee ice cream. Looking for something to toast? Specialty cocktails (pink grapefruit mojito, anyone?) make for some delicious libations!

Meeting space

When it comes to meeting and event space, The Westin Phoenix Downtown has a series of options. In total, there's 15,000 square feet of unique and flexible space that matches the hotel's clean and airy design. The 3,000-square-foot ballroom can be adapted for many types of events, from themed parties to weddings and corporate tradeshows. If what you want is a starry-skied city backdrop, check out the second-floor outdoor terrace.

Don't miss

Public spaces at The Westin Phoenix Downtown are well designed and welcoming. On the main level, the library is perfect for business or leisure, and is a communal area with free WiFi available 24 hours a day. Another great spot — available at a premium — is the Westin Executive Club Lounge. Take in the hotel's signature stunning views while relaxing with coffee, continental breakfast or evening hors d'oeuvres.

Easy access

Not only is The Westin Phoenix Downtown just minutes from the airport, but it's also within walking distance of top downtown attractions. The Phoenix Convention Center, Chase Field and US Airways Center are practically around the corner. Plan a visit to nearby Phoenix Art Museum and Herberger Theater or, for slightly farther trips, hop on the Valley Metro Light Rail. There's a stop just outside the hotel.

As a student going into my third year at Arizona State, I couldn’t skip past this article! My sophomore year, I’d changed my major and transferred to the downtown Phoenix campus. While I haven’t had the chance to really explore the restaurants and what not, I absolutely love the location! Every day, I would take the light rail (our form of transportation that takes us from Tempe to Phoenix in record time) I would pass many restaurants and comedy clubs that are worth looking in to! There is also the stadium I saw many families entering and venues that I have been to, to see artists perform in concert with friends! The night life is surely growing in the downtown area, and I can’t wait to explore my way around this upcoming year! If you or know someone that is considering attending Arizona State for Journalism, you have to take a tour of the campus. It is amazing! Since it is the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, just by looking at the name you know you won’t be disappointed. I’ve heard many families spend their time at the resorts over the summer, so if you can manage the heat, I’d say go for it especially with the can’t miss summer deals!

How fun! This hotel looks awesome. I live in Phoenix and have lived here all my life. I've never stayed here but would love a weekend getaway. I'm thinking a girls weekend is in order! We can lounge by the pool and go out to eat dinners and enjoy a few drinks.
