Olay’s latest campaign, "Beauty by Example," aims to recognize one million beautiful and amazing moms by Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 13) by donating up to one million ounces of Olay products to women undergoing cancer treatment. Olay has long been an advocate for improving the quality of life for women undergoing cancer treatment through its partnership with Look Good ... Feel Better. Starting April 13, daughters across the nation can show their moms some love by declaring them an inspirational example of beauty through Olay’s "Beauty by Example" campaign on Olay’s Facebook page.
Not only can each participant sign the "Beauty by Example" declaration, she can also showcase her mother on Olay’s Facebook page by posting a story or sharing a photo exemplifying her mom’s iconic beauty. In addition, viewers can browse inspirational videos of mothers and daughters who won last year’s "Like Mom, Like Daughter" contest.
Olay, one of the world's most recognized skin care brands, was founded in 1952 by South African chemist Graham Wulff, who wanted to create a moisturizer for his wife that would alleviate her frustration with the thick, greasy creams that were available at the time. Olay’s first product, "Oil of Olay," was born. Within just five years of its introduction, Oil of Olay was being sold in England, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada and the U.S. as well as its native South Africa.
