Mars has already left its footprint on the year. Named after the Roman god of war and mayhem, it means you don't have to look very far to see his handiwork. One would think that the planet's retrograde (Mars turned retrograde on April 17) would have cooled the fiery anger, but retrogrades tend to make this planet worse. That's because the backwards motion switches Mars’s energy from fight to flight. This creates an atmosphere of fear, panic and hysteria. We see it in our politics, we see it in our media and we see it in our society. But Mars also stands for good things as well, like chivalry, honor and heroism — qualities we aspire to embrace. Over the next five weeks, Mars will be winding up its prolonged stay in Scorpio. We've done the ordeals part. Now it's time to witness the transformations that will arise from them.
You've had a helluva time trying to make any headway these past two and a half months. Whether it's roping in a client, putting the finishing touches on a sale or simply coordinating schedules, Mars retrograde at the top of your solar chart has introduced more delays and complications than you originally anticipated. It's been like herding cats in a crazy house of mirrors! If you had known then what you know now then you probably would have sidestepped these headaches altogether. Thankfully, Mars out of retrograde on June 29 promises forward movement. Things won't click into place overnight, but they will by July 16.
