Although Twitter is always full of unique opinions and heated conversations, it's arguably the most unpredictable platform when a controversial public figure dies. The death of former Toronto mayor Rob Ford is no different. Ford, 46, passed away earlier this morning after a long battle with cancer. Ford was etched into popular culture when he admitted during his stint as mayor that he'd smoked crack. While the majority of people sent their condolences, many Twitter users took Ford's death as an opportunity to make jokes and speak their mind.
Here is just some of what the Twitter-sphere had to say about the infamous politician:

This had nothing to do with the "crack scandal".
Show some respect for other humans.

I wonder how many of the people offering their prayers for Rob Ford today, were the same ones who made fun of him 24/7.— Philip DeFranco (@PhillyD) March 22, 2016
