Making it to the top

From SheKnows Canada
Some of the best hiking trails in the world can be found in Canada, which boasts trails in varying types of terrain from British Columbia to Newfoundland. Canada is also in the process of developing two recreational trails that will run from coast-to-coast, the Trans-Canada Trail and the National Hiking Trail. If you don't know where to hike with so many options, lace up your boots and try one of these eight Canadian hiking areas that rock!

Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia

Whistler Blackcomb boasts 18 hiking trails, some challenging enough for the most seasoned hikers, and others appropriate for casual walkers or those just starting out. All of the hiking trails are at the tops of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains - imagine the views!

West Coast Trail, British Columbia

The 75 kilometre West Coast Trail was originally developed for use in rescuing shipwrecked sailors from the area known as the 'Graveyard of the Pacific'. The hike is mainly at sea level, and winds through the coastal rain forest. It's a great hike on which to see some of the largest and tallest trees in the country!
