Enjoy Miami’S Less Crowded Low Season
Because of its sweltering to moderate temperatures, Miami is the perfect year-round vacation destination. And if you visit during the off-peak season — April through September — you will enjoy less crowded beaches, discounts on hotels and restaurants, and a calendar full of fun cultural and recreational events.
Miami low-season highlights
"Visitors joining us in the off-peak season can take advantage of competitive hotel rates, restaurant pricing and availability, and less crowded beaches, too, while enjoying all the perks of peak season — world-class shopping and nightlife worth staying up for,” says Jeff Lehman, chair of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority.

During Miami Spa Month from July 1 to Aug. 31, spa enthusiasts can receive special treatments for just $99 at Miami’s premier spas.
August and September
During Miami Spice Restaurant Month, discerning diners can enjoy the very best of Miami cuisine. In August and September, Miami’s top restaurants offer three-course meals (lunches $19 or $23; dinners $33 or $39) featuring signature dishes created by world-class chefs.
What to pack?
Temperatures are still hot and hazy in the late summer and early fall, so make sure you pack your cutest swimsuits, along with a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen, a good sun hat and lightweight and breezy clothing for a safe vacation in the sun.
What is shoulder season?
October through December is known as Miami's "shoulder season." Since this period is right before peak season starts in January, hotel and airfare prices may go up a bit. But the temperatures go down — on average, between 75 and 83 degrees — so it may be worth it to spend a little more. October is Miami Attractions Month, and discounts are offered on excursions well-suited for the nature-lover and adventure-seeker. Popular events during this time also include the Miami Book Fair International in November and the prestigious Art Basel fine art show in December.
