Mustache for your mason
With a Starbucks on every corner and coffee the go-to pick-me-up, what better gift for the man in your life than a custom-etched Mason jar glass for all his coffee needs?
Make your stencil
If you decide to make a stencil, you can easily make your own design in Photoshop or Word and print it off on card stock paper. Then go ahead and cut it out with an X-Acto knife. Craft stores also sell special stencils for glass etching.
Secure your stencil
Wipe down the Mason jar for a clean surface, then, with the painter's tape, secure your stencil. Make sure it is centered on your jar.
Apply Armour Etch
Once your stencil is centered and secure, begin applying the Armour Etch cream with the sponge brush.
Leave on for 60 seconds
Make sure to put a thick coat of cream over the stencil, then let it sit for one to two minutes.
Remove the painter's tape from your jar, leaving only the cream in the shape of your stencil on your jar. Rinse the Armour Etch cream by scrubbing the remnants of the cream off, then wipe your jar dry.
Enjoy the new mugs!
Or in this case, let the man in your life enjoy them!
