Want to update your back-to-school look without spending a ton of money on a whole new wardrobe? Spend just a few bucks and make one of these really cute flower headbands!

DIY Headband with flowers

All you need are a few plain headbands, some fake flowers and a hot-glue gun to make these bright, festive hair accessories. You can easily customize the colors so you have a new headband for every summer outfit!

What you’ll need:

  • Plain headband
  • Hot-glue gun
  • Wire cutters
  • Fake flowers


1. Cut the blooms off the flowers

Cut the blooms off the steam

Using your wire cutters, cut off the bloom part of the fake flowers. If you need to, remove some of the outer layers so the bloom fits nicely on the headband. Repeat with your other
flowers, making each flower a different size.

2. Glue flowers to headband

Add a dab of hot glue to the back of each flower and carefully press onto the headband.

Hold the flowers in place so they don’t budge.

3. Let dry and wear

Let the headbands dry for at least two hours before wearing.
