5-Minute canned tomato salsa
This simple salsa, often called “restaurant-style” salsa, tastes and looks just like the salsa served at Mexican restaurants. Adjust the spice to your liking and dip everything from chips to carrot sticks to pretzels into it for a healthy, fast snack.
Makes about 2 cups
- 1 can (15.5-ounces) whole tomatoes with juice
1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- Crushed red pepper, to taste
- Pulse all of the ingredients in a blender until evenly combined but not entirely smooth (you can make this salsa as thick or as smooth as you like). Store in the refrigerator for three to five days.
