A braided headband is simpler than it looks, and can be accomplished in just a few easy steps. Heather Perrone, salon director of Jaie3 salon.spa.beautique, offers these tips to create this look. Take a 2-inch section of hair from your part to the back of your ear. Tie your remaining hair back to keep it out of the way of the braid.

Make three sections from the first strands at the base of the braid behind your ear and begin a normal braid. Pull the braid tight or keep it loose, depending on your preference. Add hair to each section of the braid as you form it across the front of you head.

At the very end of the braid, use a bobby pin to secure the hair at the back of the head. This will also serve to hide the tail of the braid.
