Step 1: Spring-clean

Even though springtime won't arrive for another few months, who wants to bring in a fresh new year with a cluttered home? It’s most likely that your house is still full of other decorations from your previous parties, so put all those decorations away before breaking out your New Year. If your party is for adult and kids rather than adult only, consider whether you need to kid-proof your house as you clean.

Step 2: Dress up

New Year’s Eve is the perfect occasion to gather your favorite people in the classiest of ways. No matter the theme, dressing up with friends and family brings out the best in people.
