Ikea Ypperlig

Ikea has really been killing it lately. This year alone, they've started using augmented reality to make shopping for home goods easier, launched a gift registry website and app and released a quirky collection featuring anthropomorphic cucumbers, among other things.

But now, Ikea is going back to their roots. This October, they're launching Ypperlig, a new line in collaboration with Danish design company Hay.

Ypperlig is centered around modern, minimalist basics. Think clean lines, neutral colors and a harmonious fusion of natural materials like wood and woven fabrics with metal and mirrors. It's like an upgrade of classic Ikea basics, with even more of an eye toward modern Scandinavian design.

Whether you're furnishing your first apartment or freshening up your existing one, Ypperlig has something for everyone, from blankets and throw pillows to mirrors and sofas. The simple design and subtle colorways allow items from the collection to seamlessly blend in with other furniture, and with its moderate price points, it’ll be hard not to leave the store with at least one Ypperlig find.

Ahead, get a glimpse of what Ypperlig has to offer.
