Did you know that Traditional Home
magazine offers a selection of flowers to order? Learn about their annual Classic Woman Rose and see where you can get yours.
Every year the classic shelter magazine Traditional Home
introduces a special limited-edition rose. The rose is called "Classic Woman," named so for the annual awards that they give out to notable women who represent the best in American volunteerism and are making significant contributions to the world. The 2012 Classic Woman Awards
were announced earlier this year.
The Classic Woman Rose is a hybrid tea rose. The flowers are a striking combination of a warm orange on the outside and rich yellow on the inside. The blooms also have a mild perfumed scent. The flowers sit hight on the stem which makes it ideal for home bouquets and arrangements.
In addition to being lovely to admire, the rose bush is also said to be rather low-mantenence with great disease resistance. It's recommended for planting zones 5-10.
