DIY vintage paper leaf wreath

Hate that cheesy romance novel your mother-in-law gave you? Instead of letting it take up space on your bookshelf, rip out the pages and make this beautiful fall wreath! You can customize the size and colors of the wreath for any season so you can have a new wreath for every occasion!

What you'll need:

• 10 to 12-inch wreath form
• Book pages
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Watercolor paint
• Paintbrush
• Hot glue gun

Step 1: Trace leaf design on a book page

Group your book pages together in stacks of five to 10, then fold the pages in half.

Sketch a leaf design on the pages.

You just need to sketch the design onto the top page.

Step 2: Cut leaves out of pages

Cut out the leaf design. You want to cut through all of the pages (it'll make your craft time shorter and the project easier).

Step 3: Paint book pages in fall colors

Dip your paintbrush in water and then paint each leaf in fall colors. We chose red, orange and yellow.

Step 4: Let page leaves dry

Place the leaves in a dry area and let sit until completely dry, about 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

Step 5: Glue leaves onto the wreath form

Using your hot glue gun, glue each leaf to the Styrofoam wreath form.

Layer the leaves in different colors along the wreath, repeating until the form is filled.

Let the leaves dry and display.
