1Quilted throw

Nothing creates a cozy atmosphere quite like a blanket draped across the couch or folded atop a chair, and we're currently coveting this colorful quilted throw (West Elm, $99). Each stunning piece is hand-embroidered and created by women in India who make the one-of-a-kind pieces from recycled vintage cotton saris. Use them to stay snug in style this fall.

2Ombre vase

Ombre has recently become a hair trend (with hair color starting out one shade and gradually getting lighter or darker at the ends), but we're partial to this vase featuring a chic ombre color scheme (Anthropologie, $298). The stoneware structure starts off cream and ends in a splash of weathered purple glaze for an elegant, eye-catching fall accent.

3Birch candles

We were instantly enamored with the seasonal simplicity of these pretty hand-poured candles expertly painted to look like natural birch bark (Pottery Barn, $12 to $69). You can easily create a stylish autumn centerpiece with a series of these candles grouped in various sizes, or use them as a way to add interest to your mantel or a bookshelf.

4Decorative pillow

Pillows are a simple and affordable way to add color to your home and incorporate seasonal trends into your space. A few of these sophisticated rectangular pillows featuring a series of interconnected organic shapes in fall-inspired hues fit the bill (Crate & Barrel, $50). We love how the autumnal tones of gold and orange look against the warm gray background.

5Wooden stool

Anything inspired by nature makes us think of fall, and these beautifully crafted fluted stools (Room & Board, $299) are no exception. Each unique piece is carved by hand from a single tree and deftly straddles the line between old world and modern design. Use them in the living room for extra seating or as charming end tables for added surface area.

6Seasonal soaps

Add a touch of autumn to your bathroom with these decorative soaps in the shape of pinecones and acorns (Gianna Rose Atelier, $30). The set of four soaps makes a tasteful addition to your sink or countertop and offers a subtle scent featuring jasmine, sandalwood and pine. These would also make a thoughtful hostess gift for any fall gatherings you attend.

7Wreath

Perk up your front door with an autumn harvest wreath (Williams Sonoma, $90). The vivid and welcoming home accent is made from a series of colorful leaves, grasses and other seasonal items (myrtle, oat, wheat, flax pods, lotus pods), all naturally air-dried and handwoven into an intricate design perfect for fall.

8Handtufted rug

Break up a room or add some bold fall color to a neutral space with this vibrant rug made from 100 percent handtufted wool (CB2, $399). We're particularly in love with the statement-making swirl of deep reds, burnt orange, soft yellow and chartreuse that almost looks like it's been painted on in broad brushstrokes.
