Yikes, this is not the danger we tend to expect from candles

We think the danger lurking with candles is accidental fire, but surprise! Your candle could cut you too. Yankee Candle is recalling 31,000 candles from their Luminous Collection because they pose a "laceration hazard" when lit. The glass container may crack when you light the candle, thus putting the user at risk for a cut.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, but Yankee says it has received 16 reports of cracked jars.
