London Design Festival can inspire you to get creative with your home decor

7 Ways to give your home a design refresh according to London Design Festival 2015

The London Design Festival is now in its 13th year and hosts around 350 exhibitions across the city, some of which feature hundreds of designers and creative brands from all over the world. Even if you can’t make it to any of the shows in person you can take inspiration from the hottest trends in home furnishings and decor to give your space a style update.

1. Invest in a structured bed

Roberto Lazzeroni's structured "Volare" bed is a contemporary take on the classic four-poster and is making its exclusive U.K. debut at Focus/15. (Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour; Sept. 20 to 25; free event)

2. Get doodling

English-born, New York-dwelling artist and purveyor of doodles Jon Burgerman presents his new soft furnishings collection for Kirkby Designs at Focus/15. (Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour; Sept. 20 to 25; free event)

3. Introduce curves and contours

German product designer Bodo Sperlein is exhibiting his beautiful furniture designs — alongside 400 other leading interior brands — within the historic grounds of Syon Park at Decorex International. (Sept. 20 to 23; admission £30)

4. Jazz up your tiles

Design producer Dzek brings Max Lamb’s Marmoreal to London for the first time following successful shows in Milan, Basel and Bejing. The Jane Withers curated exhibition presents the complete range of Marmoreal, from tiles to a selection of furnishings. (Brompton Design District; Sept. 19 to 27; free event)

5. Add a pop of colour

Luxury lifestyle emporium D&D will be showcasing a collection of architect, designer and scenographer India Mahdavi’s designs at LDF15. (Discover&Deliver, 25 Thurloe Street; Sept. 19 to 27; free event)

6. Embrace designer light bulbs

London born design label Buster + Punch is opening its debut London Bridge Showroom for GET HARD, the exclusive U.K. launch of its new HARDWARE range, at this year's London Design Festival. (Bankside Design District, Sept. 21 to 25; free event)

7. Accessorise with concrete

The Crafty Fox Market, produced by Think Tall Films, introduces talented designers and craftspeople to savvy customers. Products range from art prints, jewellery and gifts to ceramics, including geometric concrete pots and planters from photography and design studio PASiNGA.
