Kelly is no stranger to using spray paint around the house. She got her first taste in high school when she painted a garage-sale lamp. Her favorite project is a spray-painted KitchenAid stand mixer. (You really can spray paint almost anything.) Recently, Kelly used several bold colors on cheap folding chairs. "I saw a photo of some colored chairs somewhere and that gave me the idea to use spray paint to freshen them up and make them party ready," she says.
Kelly's favorite paint: "Right now, I'm totally loving aqua and lighter turquoise colors. I used some aqua on the walls in my laundry room where I spray painted my washer and dryer!"
Cyndy began using spray paint to update thrift store accessories in her early 20s. "I was mesmerized by the process and loved that I could instantly turn trash into treasure with just a cheap can of spray paint," she says. Recently, Cyndy used enamel paint to give costume jewelry a new life. Her favorite project is her redesigned front porch. Cyndy used two colors to update furniture and accessories, giving her entire outdoor area a fresh look.
Cyndy's favorite paint: "Valspar Warm Gray in satin is the one I use most for little updates around my home like lamps and frames."
Diane started spray painting when she worked in retail, painting props and mannequins for displays. "When I moved into my own home and could decorate it, I was well versed in the power of spray paint," she says. She recently remade an outdoor table and chair. "The set was old, but in good shape and just need a color tweak. Thanks to the power of spray paint, I was able to transform it."
Diane's favorite paint: "I really like the hammered finishes by Rustoleum — they are amazing. Hammered Brown and Hammered Bronze."
Tausha began spray painting when she saw how fast and easy it was. "I guess you could say that I am an instant gratification kind of girl," she says. "I also love that it's inexpensive and you can transform almost anything with a can of spray paint." In addition to spray painting her refrigerator and a rug, Tausha created an outdoor Twister game with spray paint in the grass. "It is the perfect addition to any summer shindig," Tausha says. "Plus, it took minutes to do. Win-win."
Tausha's favorite paint: "Hands down — Heirloom White by Rustoleum. It is the perfect creamy white color."
