
Jellyfish
Supplies:
- An old umbrella
- A length of pink knit fabric
- Pink leggings
- Pink top
- Hot glue/glue gun/ scissors
Directions:
To create, cut out jagged strips of fabric and glue around the perimeter of the umbrella to recreate jellyfish tentacles. Cover the entire top of the umbrella with the pink fabric, trimming as needed and glue. Wear your pink clothes to blend into the bottom of the jellyfish.
Cloudy with a chance for rain
Supplies:
- Grey or blue pants
- Grey or blue top
- White cotton or white felt
- Hot glue/glue gun/scissors
- Water bottle
Directions:
Carefully affix cotton or cloud shapes cut from the felt all over both your pants and shirt. If someone asks what you are, spritz them with water.
'Swat' Team member
Supplies:
- Plain black t-shirt
- Black pants
- Fly swatter
- Paint
- Freezer paper
- Craft knife
- Yellow latex craft paint/paint brush
Directions:
Create a stencil of a fly and the word S.W.A.T. silhouette using freezer paper and cut out. Iron into the t-shirt and then paint. Let dry completely and then remove stencil and discard. Tie fly swatter to waist band, where a gun would be.
Mummy
Supplies:
- White t-shirt
- White pants
- White knit fabric
- Hot glue/glue gun/scissors
Directions:
Cut the white knit fabric into 2 inch strips. Carefully glue the strips loosely around your mummy, while they are wearing their white pants and shirt, with a low temperature glue gun. (***You can still be burned, even with a low temp gun, so use extreme care to avoid this and don't attempt on a small child.***) Make sure you don't glue the top to the bottom so your little mummy can still use the restroom.
Butterfly
Supplies:
- 2 wire hangers
- A pair of white knee-high style pantyhose
- Paint/paintbrush
- Hot glue/glue gun
- Elastic
- Black pants
- Black shirt
Directions:
Shape each of the wire hangers into a wing shape and straighten out the hook of the hanger. Join the hangers at that straightened hook piece, wrap with felt and glue together. Carefully cover each wing with a knee-high, trimming off the excess and gluing the ends together. Cover with another piece of felt. Glue on loops of elastic that will serve as straps for your arms to wear the wings on your back. Paint a design on the wings if desired.
