Thanksgiving Mixed Drinks

Although eating lots of turkey with all the fixings is the focus of the Thanksgiving meal, it can also be a celebratory opportunity for fun and creative cocktails. Here are three Thanksgiving mixed drink recipes to sip and savor.

Caramel Pumpkin Pie-Tini Caramel pumpkin pie-tini recipe

Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons graham cracker crumbs
1-1/2 ounces milk
1-1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
1-1/2 ounces Bailey's Crème Caramel
1-1/2 ounce spiced pumpkin liqueur
Cinnamon stick for garnish
Whipped cream for garnish

Directions:
1. Dip the rim of a martini glass in water and then dip in graham cracker crumbs.

2. Combine milk, vodka, crème caramel, and pumpkin liqueur in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into prepared martini glass.

3. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a dollop of whipped cream.

Pecan pie martini recipe

Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients:
Crushed toasted pecans
1-1/2 ounces praline pecan liqueur
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 ounce Amaretto
3 ounces vodka
Whipped cream for garnish

Directions:
1. Dip the rim of a martini glass into water and then dip into crushed pecans.

2. Combine pecan liqueur with brown sugar, amaretto and vodka. Stir well until brown sugar is completely dissolved.

3. Strain into prepared martini glass and top with a dollop of whipped cream.

Traditional vs. Modern Thanksgiving

Cran-apple punch recipe

Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon dried cranberries
1/2 ounce green apple vodka
1/2 ounce cranberry vodka
1/2 ounce vanilla vodka
Splash of Champagne
1 slice granny smith apple

Directions:
1. Place a few cranberries in the bottom of a Champagne glass.

2. Combine vodkas in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a champagne glass.

3. Top glass off with Champagne and garnish with a slice of apple.

Omg! Pecan Pie Martini..I have to try this! I would suggest using Voli Vodka Lyte to keep it low cal :)
