What you need

2" clay pot
1: wood football
Felt: orange and red
Feathers in fall colors
Acrylic paint: brown, black, white
Paint brush
Black fine tip marker
White craft glue
Hot glue gun
Acrylic sealer spray
Pattern

What you do

Paint clay pot and wood football brown and let dry. Repeat if needed.

Using pattern, cut out beak from orange felt and waddle from red felt.

Glue football (head) to the rim of the pot, on the outside. Half of the head should stick out above the rim (see photo). Lay pot on its side and let dry.

Glue the beak and waddle to the lower half of the face, gluing beak on first.

Use the hot glue gun to line the back half of the inside of the pot with feathers, alternating colors. Feathers should be tall enough to stick out the top of the pot by at least 2 inches.

Using the handle end of a paint brush or the eraser end of a pencil to dot white paint on for the eyes. Let white dry then repeat with smaller dots for the black on the eyes.

Use marker to add eyebrows and spray entire surface with acrylic sealer. Let dry completely.
