Thanksgiving Side Dishes

Tart and citrus-y, this cranberry salad is a Thanksgiving tradition.

3-ounce package cherry or strawberry sugar free gelatin
1 cup hot sugar free syrup (vanilla or fruit flavor)
1/2 cup cold water
8 ounces cranberries, ground (2 cups whole berries)
1/2 small orange, peeled, sectioned, and chopped
1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
1/2 cup chopped walnuts


1. Dissolve gelatin in hot syrup, then add cold water. Chill until slightly thickened.

2. Fold in prepared fruit and nuts. Pack into a small oiled mold or divide among six serving dishes until completely set.

Makes 6 servings.
