The American Heart Association holds more than 350 walks across the country, with an emphasis on family fun and involvement. Their goal is to raise money to fight heart attacks and strokes, and with a little help from you, they will be that much closer to reaching it.

Walk to End Alzheimer's
Every year members of the Alzheimer's Association walk to help put an end to Alzheimer's. The funds raised go toward research into a cure and also to support those already suffering from this devastating disease.
The CROP Walk to End Hunger is organized by Church World Services and is held in communities across the country. The money you raise will help put an end to hunger and may help families right in your own backyard.
Held each year by Easter Seals, Walk with Me aims to raise money to support the lives of people living with disabilities. This family-friendly walk not only offers families a chance to give back but also is a source of support and belonging for many living with disabilities.

Across the country, the Humane Society is holding walks and runs to raise money to prevent animal cruelty and find loving homes for millions of animals. The best part about the Humane Society walks is that your pet is always welcome.

Out of the Darkness Community Walk
According to the American Federation for Suicide Prevention, someone commits suicide every 15 minutes. The Out of the Darkness walk aims to raise funds for education and mental health programs, as well as to raise awareness about the staggering number of lives lost each year.
The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) holds walks in both the US and Canada to continue the fight against poverty. Their important mission brings awareness to global poverty and helps build solidarity between those who walk and those living in poverty around the world.
Many have heard of the Breast Cancer 3-Day held by Susan G. Komen for the Cure. This inspirational walk spans several days and has been called a life-changing experience by the many who have taken part to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
An event created to unify men and women in the fight against rape, sexual assault and gender violence, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes asks men and women alike to walk this walk in high heels. Each year the walk not only lifts spirits but raises money for an important cause.
So many children and their families affected by cancer have benefited from the Make-a-Wish Foundation and their mission. The Wish Walk aims to raise money to help make cancer patients' dreams come true.
