February 4 is Wear Red Day 2011 to raise awareness against the number one killer of women: heart disease. It's held in conjunction with February's National Heart Month.

Wear Red Day: Ways to Help

The official website for Wear Red Day 2011, GoRedForWomen.org gives plenty of ideas on how you can raise awareness today.

"There are many ways to show your support on National Wear Red Day or any day throughout the year - from simply wearing red to helping organize an event at your workplace, school or local organization," the site reads.

"You can also fundraise with our easy-to-use Wear Red Day fundraising tool. Visit GoRedForWomen.org/WearRedDay to build your own fundraising page and raise valuable dollars to help stop heart disease in our lifetimes."

Go Red for Women: Annual fashion show

Activities for American Heart Month continue on Feb. 9 with the Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection fashion show. The show – held annually – will feature celebrities including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Dita Von Teese and Julianne Hough.
