Here is a list of the nation’s top 10 hospitals by specialty.

Gynecological disorders and diseases of the female reproductive system commonly affect most women at some point in their lives. Common disorders that require medical intervention include infections, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, cancer, heavy bleeding, fibroids and many others.

The Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina, offers a dedicated team for evaluating and treating various types of gynecological disorders including gynecologic oncology, benign gynecologic disorders, menopausal diseases, surgery, reproductive endocrinology and fertility, and urogynecology.

According to the hospital's website, Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology specializes in advanced care for specialized women's health issues, offering a number of sophisticated minimally invasive surgical procedures, as well as a wide range of women's health education programs.

The not-for-profit hospital houses 788 beds and is part of the Duke University Health System, Duke University School of Medicine and Duke University School of Nursing. In 2009, 13 of Duke's obstetrics and gynecology physicians were named North Carolina's Best Doctors in the November edition of Business North Carolina magazine.
