The not-for profit Cleveland Clinic is one of the top hospitals for the diagnosis and treatment of various digestive disorders. According the facility's website, the hospital's Digestive Disease Institute is one of the first of its kind to integrate specialists in gastroenterology and hepatology, colorectal surgery, hepato-pancreato-biliary and transplant surgery, and nutrition into one model of care. The Cleveland Clinic was founded in 1921 by four renowned physicians and presently has 1,201 beds and over 1,800 full-time physicians and scientists that provide and contribute to patient care in 120 specialties and subspecialties. In addition, the hospital's cardiac program has been ranked No.1 by US News & World Report since 1995.
