The Women Heart Foundation relates that approximatly 8 million women in the US are currently living with heart disease. Many lifestyle factors are contributing to heart disease such as cigarette smoking, alcohol intake, physical inactivity, and obesity just to name a few. Here a 4 tips to help prevent heart disease.
(page 4 of 4) Turn away trans fat Trans fat, found in many fried foods, baked goods and margarines and shortenings, can raise your bad ( LDL) cholesterol and lower your good (HDL) cholesterol. Avoiding trans fat can reduce your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes. Trans fat is listed on the nutrition labels on packaged goods – avoid the products that contain trans fat.
