Heart Healthy Tips
The Women Heart Foundation relates that approximatly 8 million women in the US are currently living with heart disease. Many lifestyle factors are contributing to heart disease such as cigarette smoking, alcohol intake, physical inactivity, and obesity just to name a few. Here a 4 tips to help prevent heart disease.
(page 2 of 4) Limit your alcohol Though the risk of heart disease is lower in people who drink a moderate amount of alcohol (one drink for women, two drinks for men per day), drinking too much can raise blood pressure and actually lead to heart failure or stroke as well as contribute to high triglycerides, heart palpitations, obesity, alcoholism, suicide and accidents. Stick to one to two drinks per day for optimal heart health.
