HIIT trainings also cause your body to produce excess oxygen to restore your body to its normal resting level. So you’re burning more calories post-workout, and you have a nice little glow through the day from your body working overtime!
Keep in mind, because of the intensity and the longer recovery period, HIIT workouts should not be done every day. Take a day or so off by doing a walk or a little yoga instead.
